Sally Faught

Practicing family law almost exclusively for well over 30 years, Sally has witnessed and been a part of the evolution of family law in the province.  She has served on various panels and boards with judges and senior lawyers in Nova Scotia to establish policies and programs that have enhanced the practice and accessibility of family law in Nova Scotia, including the Parenting Information Program.

Sally is proud of the contributions that she has made to the community from sharing her insights and wealth of legal experience, as well as the reputation she has earned as both an excellent negotiator and trial lawyer. Sally has had success at all levels of Court in the Province, as well outside of the Court.

Sally graduated from the University of Illinois with a Bachelor of Arts degree and obtained a Bachelor of Education from Dalhousie University. Sally taught high school science prior to earning her law degree from Dalhousie law school in 1981. She was called to the Bar in 1982.

Although Sally has an unrelenting enthusiasm for the law, her favourite aspect of her work is the people. Sally feels privileged to help people in difficult circumstances and to educate her clients so that they can understand the legal system and what it can offer them.  Sally has joined Lenehan Musgrave LLP as senior counsel where she offers further depth, wisdom and experience to the team.
